为无色、透明、易燃、易挥发的有毒液体。误饮5~10毫升能双目失明,大量饮用会导致死亡。甲醇常温下对金属无腐蚀性(铅、铝除外),略有酒精气味。相对密度0.792(20/4℃),熔点-97.8℃,沸点64.5℃,闪点12.22℃,自燃点463.89℃,蒸气密度1.11,蒸气压13.33KPa(100mmHg 21.2℃),蒸气与空气混合物爆炸极限6~36.5 %(体积比),能与水、乙醇、乙醚、苯、酮、卤代烃和许多其他有机溶剂相混溶。 通常用作溶剂、防霜剂(antifreeze)、燃料或中和剂。甲醇可以在空气中完全燃烧,并释出二氧化碳及水:2 CH3OH + 3 O2 → 2 CO2 + 4 H2O,甲醇的火焰也是近乎无色,所以燃点甲醇时要格外小心,以免被烧伤。不少细菌在进行缺氧新陈代谢之时,都会产生甲醇。因此,空气中存有少量甲醇的蒸气,但几日内就会在阳光照射之下被空气中的氧气氧化,成为二氧化碳

用途  用于硫酸钙和硫酸镁的分离,溴化锶和溴化钡的分离,测定硼的试剂
用途  基本有机原料之一。主要用于制造甲醛、醋酸、氯甲烷、甲胺和硫酸二甲酯等多种有机产品。也是农药(杀虫剂、杀螨剂)、医药(磺胺类、合霉素等)的原料,合成对苯二甲酸二甲酯、甲基丙烯酸甲酯和丙烯酸甲酯的原料之一。还是重要的溶剂,亦可掺入汽油作替代燃料使用。20世纪80年代以来,甲醇用于生产汽油辛烷值添加剂甲基叔丁基醚、甲醇汽油、甲醇燃料,以及甲醇蛋白等产品,大大促进了甲醇生产的发展和市场需要。
用途  用作基本有机原料、溶剂及防冻剂。主要用于制甲醛、香精、染料、医药、火药、防冻剂等。

 

  • 用途2  萃取溶剂。其成品最高允许残留量:香辛料油树脂50mg/kg,酒花抽提物2.2mg/kg。


     
  • GB 2760-96列为食品加工助剂。 


     
  • 用途3  用作分析试剂及色谱分析试剂,也用于有机合成
